Photo contest. Participation rules
As stated, we draft first rules about photo contest in May. "Draft" because some changes may appear until May when the contest is scheduled to start. All changes will be marked in different color on this post and with date between brackets in order to avoid misunderstandings. So, stay tuned and bookmark this post.
1. PURPOSE
Let's start ...
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of MobileArt photo contest is to bring closer mobile phone picture fans all over the world, to increase visibility over this type of art, to share experiences over current technology capabilities - both on hardware and software areas and, not the least, to create a place where different national cultures to shown and shared.
Contest is organized by MobileArt project members with help of some camera software producers as sponsors.
2. PARTICIPATION
a. Contest theme: PEOPLE; only pictures within this theme can participate on the contest
b. Contest is fully open to everyone with respect of the following rules:
- Participant to be a fan of MobileArt facebook page (or follower of this blog) and of CameraPro for N8 facebook page
- All pictures submitted to be made with a mobile phone. Pictures can be edited before submission but only using mobile phone software. Pictures edited using PC software are not allowed.
- Each participant can submit maximum 5 pictures
- Pictures can be submitted between May 1st and May 22nd. (both dates are included)
- Pictures will be submitted directly on MobileArt facebook page, in the album named CONTEST
- Exceptionally (but please use it only for exceptional situations), pictures can be submitted directly on MobileArt wall by using key word CONTEST before all other details
- For each submitted pictures the following informations are mandatory and need to be provided by author:
- Picture name
- Phone used to capture it
- Software used to edit / modify the picture (only mobile phone installed software)
- Name / nickname of author
- Location of author (city, country)
- By submitting one or more pictures to the contest, the author is solely responsible regarding picture copyrights and any other legal responsibilities of use and publish it. MobileArt decline any responsibility regarding this.
- Copyrights of pictures submitted remain property of submitter. Beware that MobileArt is fully open and does not use any restrictions in downloading materials from it.
- Submitted pictures can be used by MobileArt after the contest, on promoting purposes, and the same can do the sponsors of the contest. This can be made without author permission but by mentioning author name / nickname (used to submit pictures).
3. WINNERS
The contest will have three winners - 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Winners will be selected considering numbers of LIKE's each picture will have on the end of the contest but also MobileArt members and sponsors opinions.
During the contest, MobileArt members and sponsors are not allowed to vote for pictures submitted and cannot submit pictures to the contest.
During the contest "MobileArt fan photos ..." category on MobileArt blog will be suspended. Will be avoided also any other kind of post that can influence visitors votes.
First three winners will be granted with free licenses of mobile phones camera software. Depending of the type of phone used, MobileArt will contact the winners to agree what software to be provided (for Symbian, Android or iPhone).
Special prizes can be granted also to some of the participants. (just for example - Best BW picture - please consider it as for example here).
All prizes will consist in free licenses for commercial mobile phone camera software provided by our sponsors:
- TeqUnique - producer of CameraPro, CameraFX, FastMotion app (Symbian)
- CodeGoo - producer of Camera Genius app (iPhone)
- Stoik Imaging - producer of Noise AutoFix app (Symbian)
- Androidslide - producer of Camera ZOOM FX app (Android)
MobileArt team members already use all of those commercial applications and reviews of those will be available on this blog as also Discussions forums on our facebook page. (big thanks to HARALD, DMITRY, ALEX and JEFF for their valuable support !)
Contest results will be announced in maximum two weeks after end of submissions.
