Mobile Art friends - Maximilian Janicke
Mobile Art project cannot exists without people who believe in it and contribute on it. For this reason we try to promote - if we can - believers and friends of the project. For this we just open a facebook page where friends can share their work. With no rules, except those behind Mobile Art concept - pictures made and edit exclusively with / on mobile phones.
Today, Max from Germany. Max who see the world around through his iPhone4 mobile lenses. Personally I like Max' pictures. Their fog and mysterious colors make me feel again in a Hanover suburbs train, watching the field in a cold and rainy morning ... Traveling back in time and space.
Who is Max ? ...
"I'm so uninspired when it comes to tell things about me. Well, let's see, I'm 38, born and raised in a small town near Frankfurt am Main, Germany and I'm a graphic artist and sign maker for a living.
I started shooting with my mobile phone on a regular basis just recently when I got the iphone4. My dream of always having a (decent) cam with me finally came through, but the advantage of being able to post the shots to FB (unfortunately not to mobile art) or instagram, is what really fascinates me.
Before that I had a Blackberry, but I didn't like the outcome, so I refused this feature most of the time. I know that for many people this exact imperfection of mobile cams is what they are aiming for. Like I said before, what fascinates me the most is the ability to instantly publish photos to the web instead of the specific mobile cam outcome itself.
At the moment I am totally in love with an iphone app called Plastic Bullet that I use to render a certain toy cam look. I also use Instagram, growing photo community, that features a variety of filters to render toy cam looks too. In other words I prefer the a analog equivalent to mobile cams. But I start repeating myself.."
Some of Max pictures can be seen on Mobile Art facebook page. I believe they worth to be admired ...

Mobile people
Mobile people is about showing and sharing mobile pictures with people around you. Relatives, neighbors, girl next door, the milkman or the elder resting in park ... Happy people, sad ones, angry, in love or just melancholic. People that we see every day and every minute around us. Show them through mobile lenses.
Mobile people. You can do this on Mobile Art facebook page. The wall is open for you to post mobile pictures with mobile people. Rules ? Post only pictures made with mobile phones. Give a name of your work. If you don't consider it intrusive, let's everybody know where the picture was made - country, city. And, of course, don't forget to specify the phone type that help you on this.
